What should I wear to my Manchester physiotherapy appointment?
If we are treating your feet you will not be asked to undress. However, if we are treating your spine, you will need to be comfortably dressed so wear appropriate undergarments or even a pair of shorts to the appointment.

All our work is carried out in our dedicated Manchester physiotherapy clinic. Our clinic is easily accessible and clients travel from Didsbury physiotherapy and Stockport for physiotherapy, osteopathy and chiropractic care.

Do I have to be referred by a doctor?
No, our Manchester physiotherapists can assess and treat you without a referral by a doctor. However, most health insurers require a doctors referral before they authorise cover of fees, some only require a phone call.
This is what we specialise in. We can treat pain even when other practitioners couldn’t resolve it.
You do not need a doctor note to receive COPA therapy treatment. However, some extended health insurance companies require a doctor’s notes in order to cover the treatment.
We will discuss your treatment plan after your initial assessment, but usually, it will vary from one session to a few depending on the condition. However, we will always aim to get you better from the 1st session and you should generally feel better when you leave the clinic.
It is normal for patients to experience muscle soreness 1-2 days after a deep tissue massage. This may increase if there was more pressure being used or it has been a while since your last treatment.
It depends on the practitioner you are going to see, sometimes it could be on the same day.
